Great place and very convenient |Recommended: YesWhen relocating from another state to San Antonio, I couldn't find the time to fly and look at the apartment initially. So I had to rely on the search and reviews on Yelp and Google, Costa Bella Apartments, came up. The reviews came to be typically normal when searching. Although when I initially called inquiring about the apartments, the staff was very helpful and friendly. Making the process for me to relocate to Texas less stressful. That itself was the deciding factor of moving in. Been living here now in these apartment for almost 2 years now. They say living next to the 1604 is bad and rather be inside the loop. But I disagree with that statement. Living here has been very convenient for me, due to the fact everything is usually 30 minute drive depends on the traffic and the know how to use side streets You have a Super HEB, Super Target, places to eat, not very far from the RIM, and the medical center is down the road on Heubner. Also if you're a student, living here is also quite central, you have San Antonio college 20 min down the 281, Northeast Lakeview 20 min on the 1604 east, Northwest Vista UTSA going west on 1604, and UTHSCSA is going south of Heubner, which is also 20 min away. The amenities with the apartment is great, along with the service with staff and maintenance professional and courteous Staff always a pleasure talking with them while picking up your mail boxes and such, Maintenance Always constantly on the work, attending to work orders or keeping the grounds in a timely fashion Lets be real here these guys, may not look it but they put in work so that we don't notice issues around the grounds. So give them a break However sometimes when I walk my dog around the grounds, time to time I step in dog poop there are bags and stations around the property, they could use one more station on the east end of the grounds . Its not on the maintenance job to pick up poop, they're here to fix major issues. So its the residents who just walk around and leave their dogs feces behind. I say to the residents who are being jerks. Be a decent human being and pick up after your dog, cause its just nasty stepping on poop. Lastly living at this location is beneficial, because of the area, case in point when looking for renters insurance and car insurance. This area is great because of the prices that insurance companies attach to zip codes, possibly saving you money in the end if you know how to manage your income. You might say, wow this place is expensive to live at and cost more than a mortgage. Well to the people who say that I rather live in a place where I don't have to worry about the fixtures of my place, pay property tax its like 4k a year in leon valley depending on the property , live in the area where crimes doesn't happen often like some areas of San Antonio, be close enough to the city but not that far as if you're living in the country, School districts are great for kids here too, and just having the piece of mind that this place is honestly a great place compared to other grounds. Well thats my honest two cent review about living here.

Costa Bella|Recommended: YesIt's been ok so far. The location is very central and thats what I like.One bedroom was pretry good. Two bedroom was terrible, hopefully this three bedroom is better. Hopefully Milestone is a better management company.

Overall good apartments, but with subpar service and management |Recommended: YesI always use to get messages from the Costa Bella team asking that I write a review. I've enjoyed my three years living at this apartment community. I remember the first time I came and looked at the apartments, I was really impressed with the appearance of the community. Compared to other communities I have searched around the area, Costa Bella hands down has the best look. This is what ultimately sold me to live here and this is why it's my first and most important portion of this review. I was fortunate enough to obtain a location on the corner of the building with a built in garage, so parking availability is automatically a 5 star in my opinion. Guests that I have over, have never really complained with finding parking so I figure it's not tremendously hard to find a spot. My overall complaint with the community is towards the staff. During my years of living here it has been perfect, except for the times I need something from the leasing office or maintenance. My fridge has stopped working multiple times since May 2016. I've called the leasing office, made multiple requests, and even informed them that they are fixing something that has repeatedly broken. It seems that every time I contact them for my fridge, it takes longer for them to respond. I once had to throw away about 100 dollars in groceries because of their slow response to my multiple requests to fix a fridge. My GF and I have come into the leasing office a multitude of times to ask to see the larger version of their one bedroom. We have made these requests since April 2016 and even as recently as a couple weeks ago. The leasing staff always says they will contact me, but never follow through. Tile was ripped in my kitchen by a playful puppy and I took the initiative to find someone that was able to repair the tile that same day. When I contacted the leasing office to try to purchase material they informed me that I had to have the repairs done by their people. I agreed and informed them through email that I would like the tile fixed as soon as possible since the destroyed tile was located in the center of my kitchen and I didn't want more unnecessary damage done. They said they would get a quote and after I receive the quote and paid, they could go ahead and fix the tile. Over two weeks passed and I had to send an email questioning the amount of time to obtain a quote and requesting an update. No one responded to my email and two days later I received a call telling me to come into the leasing office to receive my quote. I know the staff is able to follow up and keep updates because when I informed them that I would be getting a puppy, they made sure they got their deposit by sending multiple emails and even informing me that failure to pay within a couple days could be considered as breaking the lease. This makes me feel that the staff is more concerned with their money and agenda, than fulfilling my requests and keeping me happy as a tenant. Unfortunately I have more examples of shortcomings i've experienced with the staff, but I've already left a strong negative portion on this review. Overall the apartments are good and I enjoy coming home every day to this community. There are a lot of convenient things close by and I do think they got it right when they said that these apartments are in a prime location, but if you ever need anything from the staff you'll need to be highly persistent with them. I understand that a new management has recently taken over and hopefully some things change for better. I would and have recommended these apartments to friends and relatives and will more than likely continue doing so. Thanks Costa Bella for being my home.
